Property damage liability is also often referred to in everyday language as professional liability insurance. In the following article, we use the term “professional liability insurance” for easier reading flow.
Compensation: In the event of damage, the professional liability insurance shall pay damages in the amount of the damage incurred, but up to the agreed insurance sum.
Insured activities: In addition to the classical legal activity, other lawyer-related activities are also insured – such as will execution, estate administration, guardianship, support, as well as activities as arbitrator, mediator or notary representative.
Insurance premiums: The premium amount depends, among other things, on the insurance sum, the specialty, a possible excess and the fee income. For entrepreneurs and syndicated lawyers, particularly favorable conditions apply.
